Role Description
- Primary responsibilities include the development and some design of web and desktop applications based on .NET technology
- Primary responsibility for the design, development and deployment of software solutions and components based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 and Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) 3.0 technologies
- Development of Custom SharePoint WebParts.
- Developing applications from detailed design specifications
- Develop automated unit tests and responsibility for testing own code before Systems Test and QA Test Phases begin.
- Bug Fixing
- Interacting with customers
- Adhere to Ergo coding standards
- Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives as required
Essential Skills
- Minimum 3 years development experience
- Experience of using SharePoint Designer
- Experience of implementing SharePoint InfoPath solutions a distinct advantage
- At least 2 years .NET ideally mostly of C# 2.0, ASP.NET 2.0, XML
- Knowledge of the financial services industry an advantage
Ideal Skills
- Design patterns
- DB Design & Optimisation, Stored Procedures, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting Service
- Or experience with web services, Remoting, MSMQ while not essential is highly desirable

- Degree or Diploma in Computing or similar related qualification
